 Lead in

3 mins.

 –          Ask student “What are you going to do at the weekend?” as a whole group discussion.

Exercise 1

5 mins.

  • Before starting the exercise, look at the given activities and want them to explain if there is an unknown word.
  • Firstly, students read the dialogue as an individual and then listen and find the which people do which activity.

Exercise 2

10 mins.

 

  • In this part, students think about future plan structures.
  • Look at the examples of the structures.
  • Ask their opinions about the structures.
  • Then, explain the diffrences between “will, going to, may/might, present continuous and future continuous.”
  • Want them to do activity.

Exercise 3

5 mins.

  • Students will listen to two dialogues and decide:
  • Why are they calling each other?
  • Who is more keen to meet?
  • Students explain their ideas.
  • They listen again and decide “What arrangements do they?”
  • Elicit their answers

Exercise 4

5 mins.

  • Explain the phrases about making suggestions, accepting suggestions and declining suggestions.
  • Then, students will decide the which phrase is suitable for which situation.

Exercise 5

10 mins.

  • Students will work in pairs.
  • Students prepare a dialogue. They will follow these steps:
  • Ask about your partner’s plans.
  • Tell your partner about your own plans.
  • Make suggestions for an activity you could do.
  • Accept or decline your partner’s suggestions.
  • Agree on one activity you can do together.
Wrap up

 2 mins.

  • Ask “What is in your pocket? What did you learn today?”
  • Elicit the answers.
  • Finish the lesson.
